With the track in mind, Turner Motorsport delivers again with these solid aluminum motor and transmission mounts. A traditional rubber mount will flex and twist which can result in a slight loss of torque delivery to the driveline. With solid mounts, there is zero deflection resulting in no loss, and maximum power delivery. On the transmission side of things, a solid mount will provide smoother, crisper shifts, by reducing driveline slop. The result is a smoother power delivery, and increased driving performance.
These mounts have a secondary benefit as well. The motor mounts will lower the engine placement 5mm, while the transmission mounts will lower the trans an additional millimeter. This results in a slightly lowered center of gravity, further improving balance and handling.
These mounts are a no-compromise design for all-out racing use. Full solid aluminum mounts should not be used on street-driven cars. Because there is no material to absorb vibration these will be quite harsh for regular street use (track cars don't care about noise).
